Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses Ordnary's services, including our knowledge and automation tools, our API, Ordnary Web Services, and Ordnary Pay. It's part of, and supplements, our Terms of Service. For the use of AI features and their output, see also the AI Usage Policy.

We may update this policy as risks and our services evolve. Violations may lead to content removal, rate limiting, suspension or termination, and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.

General principle

Use our services lawfully, safely, and respectfully. Don't use them in a way that harms people, breaks the law, infringes rights, or creates undue risk for Ordnary, our users, partners, or the public.

Prohibited content

Don't use our services to create, upload, store, share, or distribute content that:

• is illegal, or facilitates illegal activity;
• sexually exploits or endangers minors (we report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities);
• is non-consensual intimate imagery, or depicts real violence, terrorism, or graphic harm to promote it;
• harasses, bullies, threatens, defames, or incites violence or hatred against people based on protected characteristics;
• promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders;
• infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; or
• contains malware, or is designed to cause harm or deceive.

Prohibited conduct

Don't use our services to:

• commit fraud, scams, phishing, spam, or deceptive impersonation;
• generate or spread disinformation intended to mislead about elections, public health, or safety, or to impersonate a real person or organization without disclosure;
• unauthorizedly scrape, harvest, or monitor data, or process personal data in violation of the law;
• develop or carry out weapons, attacks on critical infrastructure, or other high-harm activities;
• make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant consequences for people, without appropriate human oversight and disclosure; or
• violate the rights of, or breach the terms of, a third-party service you connect to.

Security and platform integrity

Don't:

• test or scan the vulnerability of our services without authorization, or bypass security or authentication measures;
• access accounts, data, systems, or networks without permission;
• bypass rate limits, quotas, usage metering, billing controls, or access restrictions;
• overload, flood, or disrupt our services, for example through denial-of-service attacks;
• reverse engineer our services or extract model weights or training data, except to the extent permitted by law; or
• use our services to build a competing AI model in violation of the Terms of Service.

Ordnary Web Services and infrastructure

When using Ordnary Web Services, you're also responsible for the workloads you run. You may not host malware, run open relays or proxies for abuse, mine cryptocurrency in violation of your plan terms, send unlawful bulk email, or operate services that attack or abuse third parties. You must comply with the acceptable-use requirements of our underlying infrastructure providers.

Messaging and contact

If you use our services to contact others, for example through a workflow you configure in our automation tools, you must comply with anti-spam and electronic-communications law, obtain the required consents, and honor opt-outs.

Reporting abuse

Report illegal content or abuse to abuse@ordnary.com. Report security vulnerabilities to security@ordnary.com (see our Security Policy).

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action proportionate to the issue, including warning, removing content, limiting features, suspending or terminating accounts, and notifying authorities. Where practicable and lawful, we'll give notice and a chance to appeal (see the appeals section of the Terms of Service).
